Expressive Arts Therapy workshops with my guest Dr. Caroline Herbert, based in the UK/Cambodia. We had two workshops: the first was specifically for therapists and professionals trained in Expressive Arts Therapy; the second was for members of the public. Caroline travelled around the world in 2023 with her Sori Project exploring Apology and Forgiveness through Expressive Arts Therapy, meditation, music, and song-writing. She gave experiential creative workshops in India, Cambodia, Indonesian, New Zealand, Hawaii, the United States, Canada, The Netherlands, and France on the theme of individual and collective apology and forgiveness. www. alkimiasoul.com

Expressive Arts Therapy workshop
for the young adults in the Homegrown Program (work training program) at Nanaimo Foodshare. My Expressive Arts workshop activities included engaging in active imagination, music, rhythm, visual arts, and debriefing the artistic process and the products of our work together. While involved with the creative process, participants were simultaneously exercising human connections, eye contact, empathy, non-verbal and verbal communication skills, and teamwork. We also discussed how these skills apply to being and working with people in our personal and work lives.
